The Miniclick Response Exhibition

Everyone is the Curator - under the guidance of some top practitioners and the Fringe's chosen emerging curators, we invite you to bring a selection of your work along for our mass curatorial experiment. Bring your work along (on disc or on a USB stick) and, as you're taking us through it, images will be picked out and printed there and then, to be added to a live, evolving exhibition at the Phoenix Gallery, Brighton. In association with Photobook Show and Design Brighton, Miniclick are bringing together some of the countries best independent photobook publishers, photographers, illustrators and designers to show off their work and sell their wares. BPF and Brighton ArtsFORUM are collaborating this November to bring you a feedback forum to facilitate supportive and critical debate.
During the session two artists will discuss the ideas and concerns of their unfinished photographic projects to an audience to generate feedback.
These workshops will create a fusion pot of ideas and are a fantastic opportunity to get your creative juices flowing.

Miniclick are once again hosting the Brighton leg of the launch of this year's Portrait Salon newspaper, linking up on screens with simultaneous parties in Leeds, London and Cardiff. 2013's newspaper will be available to pick up, and amongst the music and cocktails, a selection of the best of the last 2 years of Portrait Salon will be on display on the walls. OPEN13 Panel discussion

Join the OPEN13 curators and project mentor Daniel Campbell Blight in discussion with two of the OPEN13 artists about the process of developing the exhibition and their featured work.
Simon Ward will discuss Ghost in the Machine, his project recycling broken and disused Amazon Kindle screens. Liane Lang will speak about her body of work, Monumental Misconceptions, a series of photographs made at the Memento Sculpture Park in Budapest, the resting place of discarded statues from the socialist era in Hungary.

Miniclick presents Possessed by Sarah Faraday and Yujiang Wang

Sarah Faraday invites Brighton to explore our relationships with objects at her "Swap Shop" by asking: can you give up an object of personal importance in exchange for a photograph of it? The two days will also include an exhibition of objects and photos from previous Swap Shops and an evolving exhibition of objects from this weekend, as well as a discussion on the nature of how attached we become to inanimate objects.
